Blog every week for two months to create a portfolio? That is a joke. To become a reputable authority on any topic, you need to put in more time than that.

My recommendation on blogging wasn’t to become an authority, it was to get a feel for the workload that witting a book is.
Also, I don’t think you need to be an authority to write a book!
