Another perspective I look at is to measure the cost of that subscription or service to my net worth. If it is a miniscule percentage , ( say less than 0.1% of my networth) , i go ahead and spend that money without hesitation

Correct. As I have grown wealthier , I outsource all tasks which consume my time ( cooking , house cleaning , ironing etc) and pay up for massages , subscriptions. I can save and invest enough now to reach my goals , why the hell else do i work such a stressful job if not to enjoy my life?

Why do you pay such high cost of IntelliJ?

Are you subscribed to individual products? You can use the all product pack for about £180 IIRC and it decreases with usage https://www.jetbrains.com/store/#personal. Or are you subscribing with your limited company? If so you wouldn’t count it as part of your own cost I presume?
